Another major sailing event is set to take place in one of Greece’s beautiful locations, specifically in Vonitsa. The active local Nautical Club, under the aegis of the Sailing Federation, is organizing the ILCA 4 Panhellenic Open Championship.
This is a category that has been growing steadily in recent years and has brought Greece numerous successes in world and European championships.
A total of 205 boys and girls from 48 clubs will compete, including all the well-known names, each aiming to give their best performance and win medals.
Due to the immense interest from the entire sailing community, the race will be broadcast live via live streaming by the special Hellenic Sailing Federation team on their YouTube channel, which has 3,500 subscribers and has so far broadcast live events from various races in Greece and abroad to 65 countries worldwide.
The first race is scheduled for Thursday, September 19, and the last one for Sunday, September 22. Weather permitting, 11 races will be held.
Vonitsa is already buzzing with excitement for the Panhellenic Championship, and the officials of the Nautical Club have prepared everything to ensure the success of the event both at sea and on land. The city is expected to host more than 350 people in total, including coaches, parents, and supporters of the sailors, as well as members of the organizing committees.
